A Few Words On Saving

6 Aug

medium_6736161971Dear Teenage Dave,

You might think that you’re broke right now, but you’re wrong… It gets worse.

You’ll always have just enough to survive (thank the Lord!), but you’ll have times where a minor emergency will throw you into a tailspin because it isn’t in the budget.

PLEASE start socking away for the rainy day. You don’t need that CD or large mocha.

I know you’re bad at math, so let me break it down: $10 a week equals $520 a year. It adds up.

Got it? Great. Now I have a message to send to teenage Amanda…

-Future Dave

This is a great post. The funny thing is I know a lot of people in their 30’s and 40’s who say the same thing to the 20 year old versions of themselves.

Saving is a great habit to cultivate at any age! Thanks for weighing in, Adam.
