For the “A Few Words” series, authors have 100 words (or less) to convey a vital piece of advice to a younger version of themselves.
Dear Steve,
Stop being so stubborn about asking for help.
The rough patch you’re going through now is only amplified by your reluctance to ask for help.
Asking for help doesn’t…
…make you weak.
…make you stupid.
…make you less of a man.
Everything is made easier when you ask for help. Especially when you ask Jesus.
No, Jesus won’t solve all your problems like a genie in a bottle; but Jesus listens.
And when you talk to Jesus, you’ll feel less of a burden, and will probably figure it out with His help.
You’ll thank me later.
Cheers,
Steve
